I hate this

Dear Amanda Jones,

Thank you very much for coming in last week to interview for the Editorial Assistant position. I really enjoyed meeting with you and was very impressed with your experience and skills. However, after a great deal of thought, I have decided to offer the position to another applicant. As I noted, I really thought you were an excellent candidate and I would like to keep your file on hand and recommend you if there is an assistant position opening in our New York office in the near future.

All the best,

Ben Holtzman

Hello Amanda,

I truly enjoyed meeting you a few weeks ago.

The communications analyst position is a very competitive one and although we find your qualifications and education quite impressive, we have decided to continue our search by interviewing other candidates. This was a difficult decision but we will certainly keep your resume on file and contact you should a suitable position become available.

We wish you the best of luck in your job search and encourage you to look at other opportunities on our website.

Regards,

Joanne Joseph

Dear Amanda,

We’d like to thank you for your interest in working as a freelance writer. You have impressive qualifications and could clearly have handled the writing responsibilities.

Unfortunately, we had a numbers problem -- we were amazed at the response to our ad. There were over 350 applications for only a very small number of positions. We have now hired the writers needed for this stage of the project.

We’d like to keep your information on file and hopefully contact you at some time in the future as needs require.

Thanks again and regards,

Rich Jaffee

Oh super lame...it's not enough that writers should experience lots of rejection from being published, but publishers as well. Cyber House sit.
